ACCREDITED LABORATORY

CALIBRATION CENTER
LAT N° 008
Signatory of EA, IAF and ILACMutual Recognition Agreements

Traceability to national standards is the essential metrological basis for guaranteeing the quality of industrial production and for the international recognition of certification, which in turn are guaranteed by the possibility of carrying out reliable measurements during the production cycle and at the time of testing. This requirement implies that all instrumentation be calibrated, directly or indirectly through an uninterrupted chain of comparisons, with reference to national standards.

The Calibration Service in Italy, now ACCREDIA, a name that identifies the initiative born in 1977 by the Primary Metrological Institutes for the accreditation of calibration centers, finds its full formalization with the establishment of the National Calibration System (SNT) through law 273/91, which confirmed to the National Institute of Metrological Research (INRIM) and to the National Institute of Metrology of Ionizing Radiation of ENEA, the task of preserving the national standards, verifying their consistency with those of other countries, and disseminating the SI units realized through these standards, directly or through Calibration Centers.
These Calibration Centers are accredited by ACCREDIA, the Italian Accreditation Body, which thus recognizes their technical competence, the correctness of their procedures, and most importantly, guarantees their metrological traceability to all parties concerned.

Accreditation Tables
Since 1980, Narda STS has been accredited and identified with number 008 as a Calibration Center for performing calibrations traceable to national standards for the quantity of Frequency, with the following accreditation table: Frequency It has a synchronized GPS (Global Positioning System) system, whose time scale, formed by cesium atomic clocks installed in satellites and ground control stations, is kept in close agreement with the universal time scale UTC, allowing constant monitoring of a rubidium vapor reference oscillator.
Narda STS has a synchronized GPS (Global Positioning System) system, where the time scale is formed by cesium atomic clocks installed in satellites and ground control stations. This time scale is closely aligned with the universal time scale UTC, allowing for constant monitoring of a rubidium vapor reference oscillator.
